Integra Telecom -poor service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I switched to Integra Broadband 3 years ago thinking I would get better service than what I had before. I ended up having worse service, getting dumped regularly and slow speeds all the time. Then to top it off they randomly added a $12 dollar fee to the monthly bill as a random service charge. How can they do that when I have a 3 year contract at a specified price. When I went to switch over to Comcast, of course they end up billing me for another months service even though I am disconnected. I plan on telling everyone I know to NEVER go with Integra since they take you for every dollar on the way out. They have left a terrible taste in my mouth that won't disappear any time soon.

Integra Telecom changes billing fees mid-contract

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am in the process of changing my service mid-contract from Integra to Century Link. I was originally signed up for mailed invoices which were paid promptly each month, and everything was working reasonably well except for our internet speeds never came anywhere close to their claimed internet speeds. Mid-contract period approx April 2015, Integra attempts to increase their fees for this standard service each month by $12.50 for providing the same services that I signed up for in my three year contract; $5 per mo extra if I did not allow Integra direct access to my business checking account for payments, and $7.50 per mo to continue sending our invoices by mail. I contacted Integra multiple times requesting that Integra honor their original service agreement with us to no avail. The entire process was a disaster. In an effort to not have to deal with the issues involved with changing carriers mid-contract, we agreed to pay Integra an additional $5 per month for the honor of paying them a check vs allowing them free access to our bank account, but in order to avoid the added $7.50 charge for mailed invoices, we opted to try the email/internet access for our invoices. Major disaster. In the three months we experimented with their paperless billing, we never received an email notice of a monthly invoice, but we did get mailed notices of being past due. When we attempted to pay $510 in past due and current invoices via credit card, Integra's customer service dept. refused to take payment. We then sent a check to Integra's P.O. box in Wisconsin. Twelve days later, in the middle of a business day, Integra shuts down our internet and phone service, causing major damage control issues with my staff and customers. I contacted Integra immediately to clear up these past due invoices via credit card. Amazingly they now could take a credit card payment. I asked for a supervisor with the intent to get our service back to the original service agreement status that we had signed up for without paying added/unwarranted fees in an effort to avoid switching service providers. No supervisor would take my call. I have been threatened with a $3,105.27 early termination fee. Sounds like great ammunition for a class action lawsuit. Please let me know if any of you readers have dealt with similar experiences.

Rip off Company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Very expensive phone service. They will rip you off for an extra 30 day bill after you cancel. Somewhere hidden in the small print is a clause saying you have to give them 30 day notice to cancel. If you don't, they will bill you for another 30 days even though you don't use their service. Total RIP OFF. Why should they get an extra month's worth of money without providing services, just because they can write this rip off in a contract. I will not ever use this company again. Rip off, rip off, rip off, rip off, rip off. Now I am at 100 words.

If you value your money-you will not sign on with Integra Telecom

As of July 1, 2015 this Co. began to assess a $12.50 plus tax "account maintenance fee" to every customer who does not participate in auto-account-deduction. They ignore dispute LETTERS and phone calls. No forewarning of such a charge was received. No chance to "opt-out". Many merchants have a greatly fluctuating bank account so auto deduct is too risky. Why does Integra not provide an option for customers in good standing or with a great credit score? This could have been handled very differently. Gravy money for these folks...and a lot of it! Integra Telecom, I give you a negative 4-star rating over this issue.

Integra Telecom really bad company stear clear and do not trust.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
July 18th, 2015 Dear Attorney General, How do we have a company that is not practicing fair business practices looked at, and stopped. I have been with Integra Telecom for over 15 years as our host for our computer online service. We just got a bill that was exactly double our normal fee, $30.00 instead of $16.00. They want us to do online billing or else we have to pay almost double the monthly fee. When I said that if I was forced to take the online billing or be fined double, that I wanted to change companies because I spend a great deal of time going through my bank accounts and removing fees that almost every single company that has online billing with us, seems to just add on while your not looking. But then they decided that we would be charged $25.00 as a change fee along with this months double fee. I consider all of this manipulation and extortion and dishonest business practices that are unfair towards the consumer.. Can you please let me know what can be done. Thank you. Robynne Ariel Fauley

No return phone calls, extortionate rates, useless connection

A client of ours bought a business in Portland that is heavily dependent on the internet. We tried to coordinate setting up port forwards with Integra.

It took 2 weeks to get access to the account and required filling out tons of paperwork. Once we had access, an engineer said "the changes have been made", but after testing for several hours, we found it wasn't our equipment. Repeated phone calls and e-mails to Integra were met with "The engineer is currently tasked on another project, but he should be available in about an hour." We called every day for a week and kept getting the same response. Unfortunately the cancellation fee for integra is $2,000.

The service is terrible--you get 1.5 Megabits for ~$450/mo. We finally decided to call Comcast. They installed service in less than 48 hours. Comcast gives us 50 Megabit for ~$100/mo.

The Integra equipment is completely useless, and is now sitting powered off while costing us $450/mo.

It's cheaper to "run out the clock" than it is to cancel the service. Our client now knows that any time Integra Telecom is involved that we need to immediately call a competitor to get service.

I have a 3 year contract with Integra. 2 years in they are adding $40

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When considering a phone and internet provider we talked to integra. We wanted a 2 year contract but we were told the 3 year contract would get us the cheapest rate. We received our statement with a (other charges and fees) item for an additional $40.00. We called them on it and they stated that they sent a a notice that said unless we called and wanted out of our contract the increased amount would be automatic. My call to them was they told me if I did not want to pay the extra I would need to extend my contract. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? I am going to fight this to the bitter end.

Customer Service Cares

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
That was NOT an Integra Employee. I have Never met anyone at my company who thinks or even talks that way. I personally help as many people as humanly possible and take on more than I can handle at times because I care. And even then my co-workers take on some of my cases because we are a team and we want our customers happy. Honestly I recognize a couple customers simply because of what they are saying in these comments. I will try to find their accounts and help them if possible. There are also competitor disguised complaints. I know this because they are saying things that do not make sense. I would challenge you all to call 866-INTEGRA again and ask to get issue resolution instead of just placing blame on circumstance. I have witnessed the best working here and have been able to meet and/or exceed my customers expectations. But only if I'm allowed to. Some of you need to understand we are really there to help. Also, If you get bad treatment, take down the employees name. Then hang up and call back. If you tell the next rep what took place they will notify management and that person will lose their job. Which is fine, because we need to care about our customers and not treat them badly.

Integra is a joke - they don't know the meaning of customer service

The biggest mistake we have made as a business was purchasing a phone system through Integra. It has become an inside joke to all our employees anytime we have to call Integra for anything. They don't provide any level of customer service. In the last year I have spoken with many different people at Integra and I still don't know who is who. I have been assigned numerous account managers. Each one has been useless. Here are just some of the past issues that come to mind: • Wrong system spec'ed out for new job - Integra rep blamed on previous Integra sales person • Wrong equipment delivered • Pricing incorrect - Integra asked for more money later • System not ready day of businesses grand opening • On-site tech says I will have to call help desk and create a ticket to resolve issue because it is responsibility of other department, even though he could fix • Tech's apologizing because their hands are tied • Integra agreeing to meet to address issues and no-show • Simple phone labels take month to get • Account Manager does nothing to resolve issues • Unable to contact account manager, then after calling Integra and speaking with numerous people find out I have been reassigned new account manager • Call helpdesk, they say I should be speaking with account manager • Scheduling a tech can take days and or a week or longer • When reporting phone service issues - lucky if I get a response within a week • etc...

After we leave Integra they ask me to provide proof they rec'd our faxes informing them we were changing carriers even though our Integra account manger acknowledges he rec'd our faxes.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
After 6 months of Integra failing to deliver contracted DSL speeds we finally had to leave Integra, informed our account manager of our intention, he politely apologized with an "I understand". We had our new provider submit the change over request, Integra responded with an acknowledgement of a PARTIAL request. I called our account manager and told him it was a 100% change over he understood asked me to fax over the Integra "partial" letter and he would take care of it. Long story short, Integra kept billing us, eventually gave us some credits BUT billed us for an extra month saying we had not given 30 days notice. When I sent a copy of the fax (originally sent to our Integra account manager) to Integra's billing dispute person her response was do you have a fax receipt confirmation? That I would have to have prove our account manager rec'd the fax even though our account manager acknowledges our conversations and faxes is astonishing. Integra also says their account manager was not able to provide any documentation of any of our communications, but I have to provide proof that he received our fax, even though I sent a copy of the original fax to the billing dispute person is unbelievable. Integra has taken the position that we either pay the bogus charges or they'll report our non payment to credit agencies. I would never do business with Integra again, I've never dealt with a company in any industry as bogus an Integra, and I will advise any and all to not do business with Integra.

Misleading information to make you to sign up with them, Exorbitant early termination fees.

Recently I moved my business to a smaller place that includes all the services including internet,I proceed to cancel my service with INTEGRA TELECOM,I only used their services for 1 year and 6 months, now I received an Early Termination Fee for $18,500.00.When I signed with them they only gave me a privacy policy and last page of a Service Agreement,I specifically asked if that was a binding contract and they said NO, it is only a standard Service Agreement 30 days cancellation notice,I specifically ask if there was an Early Termination Fee and they told me Yes,after 1 year it should be around $1,500.00 now they want 18K? it is any law to protect consumers about this kind of abuse?

Horrible Response Time

My medical business service went down at 9am and a service call was started. A few hours later they determined the problem was with a Century Link line and submitted a service ticket to them. After multiple calls Integra raised the urgency level to Century Link which generated nothing. After finally yelling and demanding someone act, Century Link was motivated to send someone and service was restored after midnight. (15 hours later) We had service for one day! The following day we lost service again for 8 1/2 hours before response. DON'T use Integra!!! Go directly with your line carrier. But Century Link was so poor in responding we are going with Comcast. I hope better service is in my future.

Horrible service and Billing Dispute

Had Integra for voice and internet and moved our facility. The internet package (speed) they charged us for could never be achieved at our new location. The phones would go out periodically for hours at a time. In the last occurrence, technical service returned our call 3 hours later (after the phones mysteriously started working) and when we told them the phones were back - they asked us what WE did! Also be aware that if you put a bill into dispute, they make no effort to resolve it and charge exorbitant late fees. Run away as fast as you can!

Integra has continued to bill for disconnected service - This is sick, but funny

Ok, so Integra has screwed me for the last 3 years. Same *** as everyone else has said. I issue a disconnect order for ALL services, and tell them to remove their equipment within 10 business days. All at the 35 day mark, prior to contract expiration. No word. I transfer to the new supplier for web, dropped Integra internet 18 months before when I physically moved the company; no rate reduction from Integra although I no longer use their internet access. Moved the phone line and fax I wanted to keep, dropped the extra line and WhaLa! Integra continues to bill me for service although their equipment has been in a box for the last 4 months. I have spoken to 'Accounting Representatives' who after hearing this story have referred me back to 'Customer Care' (what a crock, like they care!). After swapping e-mails: "This is an accounts issue..." Here's the funny part: While typing the e-mail to the 'Accounting Representative' who had called me about the overdue balance, I got an e-mail from my 'Account Representative' (who had told me I couldn't cancel through him and had to contact 'Customer Care') Literally, while I was on the phone with her and forwarding e-mails! I got the promotional ad from an Integra employee, that I could save 25% by renewing now! Wow! With this kind of internal communication, why would I NOT re-up to handle my companys' communication??? Integra is accruing secure storage charges for their communications equipment in my facility and they have been notified. I received another bill today in the mail... *** me. When the fraudulent business practices, class action lawsuit begins, I will be there.

I've done business with this company in the past and they suck. They forget to notify you when the alarm system is going off and you are informed by the police.

You're right trying to cancel with them is a complete nightmare from ***, and they will keep on charging you till you pull the plug on your bank account. The equipment doesn't measure up, back light broke after one year. Now all I have is an expensive wall decoration. I feel your pain.

Can you say class-action law suit. I can.
